Capitolism

Looking at my last post, I wasn't completely specific/accurate with my description of Marxist and Fascist political theories.  I guess I'm just not an expert due to not having lived in such a country, at all, or even fucking close.  So let's talk about capitalism instead.

(paragraph 2) OK!  Free market.  So, anyone can make and sell anything they want, at any price, to anyone, they can pay their employees whatever they want, they don't have to make any accommodations other than to just make the most of their product at the lowest cost possible and sell it for whatever price they can get someone to pay for it.  

Of course it's not exactly like that.  but Whackaloons like Ron and Rand Paul think that this bullshit could actually work.  You might as well just say "there are no rules anyone has to play by and i don't even know who's saying this because there is no one speaking for anyone".  I don't want to find out what that could be like.

But hey, while it isn't quite like paragraph 2 describes it, isn't it pretty mother fucking close to that?  I mean.... really, isn't it?  In America.  How close to paragraph 2 is our economy, in actual fact, in daily practice?  

The government has some power to limit this system, or prevent certain ridiculously egregious violations of human life, but not really very much at all.  Like for example, rich people can't out and out own slaves anymore!  Of course sometimes they do and we all know it, but you can't like, put them on your tax return or anything.  Also you're not supposed to pump a bunch of environmentally unacceptable chemicals and shit into the local water supply!!!  Yeah but really you can if you just give us like 5 bucks.  *5 bucks is presented*  Ok, see ya later.  

And the government needs LESS funding, not more!!!   We need spending CUTS, not increases!!!  OR OTHERWISE WE ARE SOCIALIST NAZIS!!!! 

Come on.  I mean fucking please come on.  Give me a direct response to these obviously huge indictments!!  Tell me why I am wrong!

Guns and butter

So:

First off I think people should, in general, be able to own guns.  A lot of other civilized countries with powerful economies and happy, healthy citizens don't let their citizens own guns, but I think we should.  So I shouldn't be accused of being a socialist.  Not that that has anything to do with gun rights, it's a completely unrelated thing.  Oh.  Ok, so now onto what I was going to talk about.

I'm sick of these bullshit scare tactics.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, these people oppose your right to bear arms - Vladimir Lenin, Fidel Castro, Idi Amin, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and.... BARACK OOOOBAMA!  DUN DUN DUN!!!!!  (based on a real internet graphic).

I'm going to take this apart piece by piece.

OK, so Vladimir Lenin was a communist.  So was Fidel Castro.  I guess.

Communism means, supposedly, communal ownership of all the nation's wealth, resources, etc.  And everyone just does something and trades for what they need, hopefully, ugh... which of course is completely ridiculous and could never work with humans, or really any life form that we know of (at least not without unlimited resources), as a result, no government that has claimed to be communist actually has been.  Like for example, Lenin and Castro, their governments seized control of a lot of peoples' and companies' property and claimed managerial power over major industries, but there were (are) definitely still rich people and poor people and certainly things weren't (aren't) being distributed evenly.  So it's bullshit communism.  Also Castro and Lenin were isolationists, especially Castro, who still won't let people into and out of his country.  Not exactly the way it is here, in America, where you can leave the country if you want and people are free to visit from other countries.  So, people not being allowed to own guns, well, they also didn't have a lot of other really ridiculously basic freedoms that we totally have and totally take for granted and really, I promise, aren't going anywhere.

Socialism is like communism light.  It means that "the state" owns the nation's industries and out-and-out manages the economy.  I guess "the state" roughly means "the government".  Hitler claimed to be a Socialist.  And his government certainly did seize control of all of the nation's industries.  BUT HE FUCKING DID THIS IN THE FURTHERANCE OF GENOCIDE!!!!  Hitler was basically a murderer of 10+ million people.  Maybe a lot more depending on how you think about it.  So, yeah, maybe that was socialism?  But really, more accurately, it was fascism and psychotic mass murder.  The government was controlling the nation's industries, but that was kind of the absolute least of Nazi Germany's problems.

Joseph Stalin and Idi Amin.  Two more fascist dictators.  (real quick - fascism is a type of government where the government controls EVERYTHING, like resources, industries, the economy, what people say and do, how much you can buy of something, what time you can be out until, what race you can be, you get the idea I hope) - Total egomaniacs who made a policy of fucking at least imprisoning and also murdering any people who spoke out against them publicly in huge numbers without any kind of judicial process.  Joseph Stalin could have very well ordered 20 million of his own people to die.  And Amin, like in the hundreds of thousands or more.  So he's kind of like a fart in the wind compared to Joseph Stalin.  Yet, still murdered way more of his own people than BARACK OBAMA!!  DUN DUN DUUUUUUN!!!!! *blackout*

So whatever.  First of all, Obama's not a communist or a socialist.  He's not a communist because communism isn't real, it's just a fun label power-trip leaders put on their countries so that they can seize more power and claim that whatever they're doing is for the sake of the people.  He's not a socialist because the government doesn't have really any say whatsoever in how our industries do business.  If you think this is false you are fucking stupid.  The government has "rules", like anti-pollution rules, or OSHA, or whatever, but they can't and don't fucking enforce them!!  And that's not going to change because the government doesn't have ENOUGH MONEY OR INFLUENCE to enforce them.  There's sign #1 that you don't live in a socialist country.  Or a communist country.

As far as managing the economy, we have like the Federal Reserve Bank, which can kind of influence the economy, but certainly can't control it, and its influence is like a fart in the wind compared to, say, the oil industry or something.  Pharmaceuticals.  Media.  And conservatives talk about it like it's the worst abomination in the history of the world.  It's a paltry safety net.  It absolutely can't support the economy under its own power, and it just can't seize assets and redistribute them wherever it feels like distributing them.  There's another sign you don't live in a communist, fascist, or socialist country!!!

Ok.  wait, guns?  Yeah.

So if you're allowed to own guns it's safe to say you probably don't live in a fascist, socialist, or communist country that we've seen.  But socialism, communism, or fascism don't necessarily mean disarming people.  You could have a fascist dictator that lets people keep their guns and isn't worried he will be overthrown.  Adolf Hitler actually handed out guns to a lot of his citizens as a last ditched effort to fight the Allies, including children, yadayadayada, suffice it to say I've read some books.

My point is that all this shit is fucking stupid.  Obama doesn't have, and hasn't tried to obtain, the level of control all these other leaders had over their people.  He just hasn't, and there is no real-life argument to refute that.  But it doesn't matter.  If you want to believe something you don't need reasons to believe it.

But here are my reasons for believing what I believe.  Which is that things aren't that bad and these dumb-asses need to chill the fuck out.  Or if things are bad, it's not for the reasons conservatives are citing, but rather because private interests (oil.  pharmaceuticals.  media.) have a broken ass amount of influence on our daily lives as citizens. So, you know, the opposite of that stupid bullshit.

Hey conservative politicians and voters!  FUCK YOU!!!  THANKS!!!

Papal Precedence

So something is happening that has not happened since I've been alive.

The Pope of the Catholic Church is expounding on the "liberal" interpretation of Catholicism that I always harbored and always wished to hear, from the leaders of the supposedly one true Church, while I was still a Catholic.  Not hearing it forced me to abandon my once genuine faith at the age of 16.

Where the fuck has this been this whole time?

I found the abortion-and-gay reviling version to be lacking in depth and also missing the main thrust of Christ's teachings.


Jesus the Christ wanted us to love one another.


A system built around the acquisition of profit does not engender love.

What I did hear when I went to church weekly/ more than weekly was "donate money to the Church" and "check out our new gold ornaments" and "sex is bad mkay" and "God will damn you for your sins" and "faith in God is the only salvation" and blah blah blah.  I knew that this could not be truly the will of God and that this church was corrupted by profiteers and capitalists and people who never gave a damn about Jesus and only cared about what the invocation of Him could do to make them richer.

Pope Francis appears to be different.

While he still seems to be pandering to a political world he is expressing the idea, speaking for the single largest religion in the world, that what is ACTUALLY important is taking care of all of our brothers and sisters in God and not condemning people for their mistakes and forcing them to confess and pay money to be forgiven.  This is a dramatic turn of events.

I really, really, want to see Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso and Pope Francis on the same stage having a conversation about the meaning of life and what our priorities TRULY should be.  I feel like I almost need to see this.  In my abandonment of Christianity and search for a source of virtue and direction I found Buddhism, as an ancient mystery that touches the soul in a way, equally divine and inspiring as any other, that can lead to salvation not only of oneself, but all others as well.  Our leaders are corrupt and their goals are vain.

There can be no victory unless all are victorious.

Thank you Pope Francis, for restoring sanity to the Church, and giving a lot of people reason to look for satisfaction beyond the direct and the tangible.

On the great leaders...

So today's the anniversary of Kennedy's assassination.  Let me start by saying that for a long time I looked into and was ready to believe conspiracies about what really happened, who was responsible, hoping we'd finally get the truth, etc etc.  (Oliver Stone's JFK as the cartoonish example.)  As an older man I see that it's really ultimately not important whose idea it was, who did it, was Oswald acting alone or with others, the significance of all this really is dwarfed by the significance of the actual event itself.

Also I'm hearing negative shit about Kennedy on the anniversary.  I had to stop reading this stupid Slate article "Kennedy-shaming" (sorry), i.e. blaming him because hey, he was trying to have the CIA kill Fidel Castro, man!!  So really he's the villain!!  HAHA!!  What a bunch of short-sighted morons.  I'm defriending Slate.  Right now.

OK.  Done.

So.  Maybe Kennedy could have gotten more accomplished.  Maybe he could have done more to get us out of Vietnam before it became a full-scale war.  Maybe he could have handled the Cuban Missile Crisis better.  I don't know.  Probably no one knows.  What we have to respect is that these were impossibly difficult problems to confront, life-or-death-of-the-world-problems, and how could a human being be expected to know the right answer?

But this is true in life in general.  We don't know what the right decision is ahead of time.  We just have to decide as best as we can and live with the consequences.  Unfortunately JFK did not live to see the results of his decisions, or get to complete an entire term of Presidential decisions.

On to today.  We've got these so called leaders, who their best accomplishment is criticizing the president for the healthcare website not working perfectly right away, here's a Bill O'Reilly quote to give you the pure form of the bullshit: "I think his presidency is crashing and burning."

THE WHOLE POINT OF THE FUCKING PROGRAM IS SO THAT POOR PEOPLE CAN GET FUCKING HEALTH CARE!

So let's be real fucking heroes and just devote all of our energy to trying to sabotage it.  And misleading people about what it is, does, will do, and so forth.  I ask myself, what could be the motivation for doing this other than trying to help poor and working poor people?  How can these assholes paint this as bad, and themselves as the heroes for trying to stop this devastating piece of legislation from being enacted!

Oh.  Well Obama wants to take control of the whole country, of course.  Comrade Obama wants to make all of your decisions for you.  He wants to give the United Nations the power to make decisions for us.  He wants to take away your guns.

By the way:   ALL OF THIS IS TOTAL BULLSHIT AND ONLY A FUCKING IDIOT WOULD BELIEVE IT!!!

On the bright side, I just read an article about how they're well on the way to fixing the website, and enrollment is increasing dramatically.  So, when it's running like a top, what are they going to go back to, Benghazi?

True leadership is trying to help EVERYONE prosper, from the bottom to the top.  And guess what?  Rich people didn't get rich by giving their money to poor people.  It's really fucking simple.  The only defense these people with no resources have is the government.  And it's the task of these fucking monsters to get the average person to believe that the wealthy are "job creators" and all good things come from them and blah blah blah blah.  What a fucking hoax.  And you'd have to be dumb as dirt not to see it.  So if you're a Republican - FUCK YOU!!!  And if you're a conservative voter... FUCK YOU, IDIOT!  Or selfish asshole!!!

Leaders do things to help those they are leading.  They don't sabotage attempts to do so.  Kennedy tried to help powerless and voiceless people in this country get a chance at prosperity.  Oswald and/or his conspirators sabotaged him and sabotaged America.  And these fucking Ted Cruz and John Boehner motherfuckers are doing the same.

Ok, so I did mention this in my last post, I just checked again.  But I think it's OK for me to talk about it twice, especially since I've had to hear about it probably a thousand million BAJILLION times since the election.  I mean come on.

Maybe I'm being a little unclear.  Let me be direct.

I want to know the details of what happened on September 11th, 2001.  I think because it was such a terrible thing to happen to us, and a tragedy, and cost us the lives of so many, no one wanted to be divisive and ask questions and politicize.  OK, great.  But to then turn around 11 years later and have the republicans put up this enormous stink about an attack that cost 4 lives as opposed to 3,000?  How can they look at themselves in the mirror, seriously?  HOW???

I know I'm spewing words all over the page.  I know this is hardly something that could be published and referred to as a legitimate source of information on anything.  But do you know what?  I don't care, because this is for me.  And anyone who's on the level knows exactly what I'm talking about, so why do I have to dot and cross?

The frustrating bit is there's no way to get people to appreciate the absurdity of most of these attacks.  And I can't believe that these politicians are such huge idiots, so the only answer must be that they're saying all these ridiculous things to get idiots to vote for them, and they know how full of shit they are, but you know what, fuck all of us!  And there's no way to just get people to understand that.  Fuck.

I think in general people agree that the enormous disparity of wealth and associated opportunities in America is one of the biggest problems today. Why then do the Supreme Court and law-making bodies of this country continue making laws which allow the wealthiest to speak loudest, determine policy, and entrench themselves?

Yeah, I think most people agree the biggest problem is not enough bacon on our cheeseburgers.

If most people, or most voters, understood or noticed what these scoundrels were up to, things would be a lot different.

To be a little more sincere, I think the wealthy and their politicians get working people to hate and resent the poor (i.e. people foaming at the mouth about food stamps and welfare, also something they're more likely to notice, day to day) deliberately so they're not looking up and noticing oil companies and bankers robbing them for way more than the value of the food stamp program (real name SNAP, still called food stamps because there's lots of valuable hate attached to the term, which is  example 1.)

Let me provide a quick sketch to illustrate my point.  An honest politician is speaking to voters in a room.  Pol: I want to increase funding for the SNAP program! Voter: What the hell is that? Pol: Well, it's a program that provides free food to people and families living at or near the poverty line.  As their income goes up, they collect less and less until their household income reaches a (still rather low) margin. Voter: Sounds good! *starts to vote for it* *Republican bashes down door* Repub: IT's FOOD STAMPS! HE'S TALKING ABOUT FOOD STAMPS!!! *voter starts screaming and throwing up blood, calls honest politician a liar and a cheat, runs him out on a rail*

Already carried on enough on your wall ...but here's where it gets really insidious. Then, people like Newt Gingrich, or someone, call obama the "food stamp president", which plays right into the (wrong) stereotype that most welfare recipients are black, and that REALLY gets the hate fires burning. So, no matter what Obama does, it won't change these peoples' minds about him. Also, it's a way for those fucking despicable GOP monsters to basically call Obama a nigger and get away with it. And if you call them on that obvious attempt to fire up racism they call YOU a race baiter and YOU are pulling the race card. Their propaganda machine is really, really tight and just flat out evil.
They've got talking points (catch phrases) prepared for mostly any criticism or argument, (race card, culture of dependency, liberal media). If they don't have one to fit the situation, they either 1) keep repeating the one that's the closest fit 2) change the subject or 3) refuse to answer, a la sarah palin in the vice presidential debates. honestly, I don't know how they continue to get away with it... ignorance and apathy are really the only things that make sense.

Also, could the fact that so many people went on food stamps during obama's presidency have anything to do with the fact that you assholes (Republicans) crashed the economy by subsidizing fiscal irresponsibility and spending like 2+ trillion dollars on a war that accomplished absolutely nothing?

Here's another thing, man. During those Bush years, I think we were expecting (or at least I was at the time), oh, once the Democrats get control of Congress, then we're going to try Cheney and Bush and Rumsfeld, and all these assholes on all these war crimes, yada yada yada, stupid fucking me. Of course, that never happened. But, the Republicans were ready, and still want, to impeach Obama over his handling of Benghazi???? Where like 2 people fucking died? And impeached Clinton over lying about having his pecker waxed? It's really, really bad.

You may have noticed I used a controversial racial slur there. I know it's a word that hurts a lot of people and I am loathe to use it. However, I feel I was trying to get across a really important point, which is that these fucking pricks say every racist-ass thing they want and still get to deny the fact that they're racist, just because they didn't say "nigger". We need to look past that word and recognize the plethora of racist statements we're bombarded with, and condemn those things as strongly as we condemn the use of that word. They've managed to use that word as a target, or shield, that they hide behind, and that allows them to say basically anything else and still be able to say they aren't racist. Oh, I'm not racist, as you'll notice, I didn't use the "n-word". And THEY GET AWAY WITH IT!!!

Hey, want a quick demonstration of the obvious racism towards President Obama?

Why can't I just like him or say something positive about him?  Why can't I trust him and think he's a great man?  Why are people who are even, or I had considered, liberals, ragging on me and pointing out his failures when I say he's great?  Why, before, was it OK to just support the president because he's the leader and just think he's a great guy, give him the benefit of the doubt?  It's incredible the amount of criticism or disbelief or resistance you will get for saying you think he's a great guy and great President.  People won't even let you see a bright side.  Surprise fucking surprise.

It's just what's happening.

Yeah, I have to acknowledge I was expecting more progress, or whatever to happen by now.  But let's remember we're like 9 months into his second term.  They're TRYING really hard to make him into a lame duck before his first term has even started, and you motherfuckers are letting them do it.  Even though it's totally ridiculous.  We've just accepted no progress and let these fucking stooges set our society back again.  They'd like it to be 100 years ago, but by striving so hard for that they end up setting us back 10 or so.  WHY DO WE STILL LET THEM DO THIS??  No one looks at the facts, or is 100% on top of minimizing them.  The fact is the economy has slowly improved pretty much since he's taken office.  Mittens and all them, their whole thing is and was, "well it's not improving fast enough".  Well maybe that's because you're preventing all legislation from passing?  COULD THAT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT????

It's an unprecedented amount of obstruction.  I'm not saying democrats wouldn't obstruct in the reverse situation, but I don't see a democratic majority house voting 40 times to repeal the same bill passed in the previous term and refusing to do anything else until a republican legislative victory was reversed.  Why don't I see that?  BECAUSE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN WHEN THAT HAPPENED!!!!!

Or really, more relevant, why are we still holding onto it?

Clearly people are better at achieving goals while cooperating.  This seems undeniable.

Maybe part of it is that most of us don't really value humanity or the earth, much, except as they directly affect our own lives.  Now that I think about it, this mentality makes sense based on the whole "selfish gene" theory, and the myriad evidence that "eat" and "fuck" are the only reliable behaviors you can truly expect from humans.  Well, women you can also expect "care for children", maybe but not really, so that's only 2 and a half instincts tops.

So maybe what I should be asking myself is why am I surprised that people only give a shit about themselves and things that remind them of themselves?

And, just because I, or we, or whoever, have more things that remind us of ourselves and thus inspire care and a desire to preserve, does that make us any less narcissistic and self-interested?  Is it just an illusion that by "caring" about the other things, people, creatures of the world we are somehow better than the fucking slugs who literally only think about, and feel, their own personal gratification?

Maybe not, I contend.

But what fucking difference does it make because all I can do when I walk away from this keyboard is continue to "be myself", whatever that means, probably just do whatever first occurs to me.

Additionally, wow!  Lots of people are fucking full-out racists, right?  Like, they have no problem saying anything, no matter how racist, the only thing they won't say is admitting the fact that they are totally racist and that's totally what's coloring all of their opinions and decisions.  And statements.

Finally, hey, the richest of the rich really are totally willing and happy to grind peoples' bones to paste in order to buy an extra yacht or private jet, right?  Or beach house??  They really are willing to grind that millstone and wear peoples' bones down into a fine fucking powder.  Well, guess what?  Fucking mother fuck you!!
